Membership

The Grand National Archery Society requires that anybody who attends an archery club for six sessions must then apply for membership of that club. To be a member of Hampshire Scout Archery Club, you must also be a member of the Grand National Archery Society.

There are four classes of membership within Hampshire Scout Archery Club:

1. Senior Membership is for those aged 18 years or over who are also members of the Scout (or Guide) Association.

2. Junior Membership is for those aged 8 years or over, but under 18 years, who are also members of the Scout (or Guide) Association.

3. Senior Associate Membership is for those aged 18 years or over who are not members of the Scout or Guide Association, but have a direct relationship to someone who is.

4. Junior Associate Membership is for those aged 8 years or over, but under 18 years, who are not members of the Scout or Guide Association, but have a direct relationship to someone who is.

A direct relationship to someone who is a member of the Scout or Guide Association, as required for Associate Membership is defined as a son, daughter, sister, brother, father or mother who is an active member of either the Association.

Associate Membership is restricted to a maximum of 10% of the Club’s total membership.

If you are new to archery, you must complete a Beginners Course and satisfy one of the Clubs’ Senior Instructors that you are capable of conducting yourself in a safe and suitable manner, before you can become a Club member.
